Project Overview
Venom: The Last Dance marks the final installment in the Venom trilogy, featuring high-energy visual effects and dynamic CG environments that support the film’s darker tone.
My Responsibilities
I worked on the intro sequence, where the light rig moves dynamically across the full CG environment to reveal the villain Knull. The three screenshots provided above belongs to me and my primary tasks included:
Full CG Shot Integration:
Assembled and composited several full-CG shots where lighting transitions from front-to-back and side-to-side, emphasizing the character’s reveal and the evolving mood.

Lighting Direction & Continuity:
Collaborated closely with lighting and lookdev departments to ensure that the animated light rig enhanced the sense of depth, realism, and tension across the shots.

Artistic Look Development:
Provided creative input and feedback during look development sessions, contributing ideas for the visual tone and contrast during Knull’s reveal to align with the film’s dark, ominous aesthetic.

Compositing & Final Polish:
Integrated multiple AOVs and rendered passes, refined volumetric lighting, adjusted glow falloffs, and maintained shot continuity across transitions. Ensured a seamless blend between CG and atmospheric FX elements.
